Mr. Ghulam Abbas Memon, Assistant Librarian attended a seminar titled “RAF-LIMTS”, conducted by Mr. Farrukh Hussain Zai, Associate Librarian, Aga Khan University, Karachi The seminar was held on 3rd January, 2020 at Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), Ojha Campus, Karachi.
Ms. Naveen Ali, ITM (SS) conducted 10 training sessions of E-resources; Discovery Service Summon 2.0 and Web of Science during 8th to 20th January, 2020 for undergraduate students of various teaching departments. She also conducted sessions for postgraduate students and Ph.D Scholars during 4th to 7th February, 2020 in coordination with Secretary, ASRB of the University.
Mr. Sameem Kardar, Assistant Librarian attended a seminar on the "Role of Libraries in Social Development", held on 11th February, 2020. The seminar was organized by Pakistan Library Club (PLC) in collaboration with the Department of Library and Information Science (LIS), University of Karachi and Goethe Institute, Karachi.
Ms. Naveen Ali, ITM (SS), Syed Basit Ali, Deputy Librarian and Mr. Rashid Ahmed, Assistant Librarian attended one day seminar on “Consortium of S&T and R&D Libraries of Pakistan”, held on 28th February, 2020 at PASTIC Sub Center, Karachi.
The Library during unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic disseminated the HEC digital resources and other digital facilities to its users remotely. These information resources were provided online through the library website for ease of the library users.  
A large number of books from the Book Bank and Circulation were identified as zero activity/obsolete. The Library Committee directed to start selling of these zero activity books to students and faculty members of the University at nominal price. The Library stated to sale these books in the month of February, 2020 from Circulation section of the Library.
Mr. Ajmal Ansari, alumni of the University from USA donated more than fourteen hundred books and journals related to engineering, science & technology and 25 Computers to the library.  
The Library has extended its facility of automated issuance of books along-with access of the HEC digital resources to its users at TIEST Campus Library.
The Library has modified its Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) on the Library website. The modified library OPAC contains location-wise search of books and other information resources available in the different sections / locations of the library.
The Library deployed two computer terminals for specifically searching of textbooks available at the Book Bank. This support facility is for ease of access of undergraduate students of the University.
The Library contributed in the University Online Pre-Admission Entry Test and provided its Digital Library facility for undergraduate admission program 2020 in the University. The tests were conducted during 16th–21st September, 2020 in three sessions each day.

The Library developed an assignment to create awareness about digital resources among final year students.

Awareness sessions were conducted for 19 disciplines of the University guiding students to attempt the assignments which include searching for relevant digital resources using Summon Discover Service, citing the material and developing bibliographies.

The Library has formally resumed sale of identified zero activity/obsolete of books to students and faculty members of the University from Circulation and Book Bank of the library. These zero activity/obsolete books were listed on the library website and made available for sale at nominal prices.
The Library contributed in online pre-Admission entry tests of Dawood University of Engineering and Technology (DUET), Karachi and Usman Institute of Technology (UET), Karachi conducted on 3rd & 4th October, 2020 and 10th October, 2020 respectively at Digital Library Section of the Library.  
The Library in facilitating its users enabled link of Table of Contents (ToCs) of new books added to library collections. Users now can view the ToCs of new books available on the Library OPAC.  
Students of few disciplines of fresh batch 2020-21 who visited the library were briefed about library services and resources. They were also visited different sections of the Library.  
The Library transferred a large number of donated books and journals to various teaching departments of the University. These books and journals were donated by Mr. Ajmal Ansari from USA. Additionally, books related to children library were handed over to the Cowasjee School.
